Today we studied through Hebrews chapter 3. We learned that God is speaking to us every day, and it is our choice to listen to him or reject him like the Israelites did when they were in the wilderness.

Today we finished our study through Hebrews chapter 2. We learned that God promises to put all things under Jesus’ authority. That when we have questions, we should always bring them to God first and He always answers us in His timing. We learned that Jesus went through suffering and testing, and He is able to help us when we are being tested.

Happy resurrection day! He is risen!! We learned that Jesus in fact did rise from the dead 3 days after he was crucified, and the greatest news of all time went to the women first. That should tell you how much God values women. I hope you enjoyed a day with you family and friends.

Today we looked at Jesus entry into Jerusalem just days before he was crucified. We looked at some of the events in Jesus’ life before and after His entry. We learned the importance of studying the whole bible. We also learned that Jesus did not come for those who think they are righteous, but for those who know they are sinners.

Today we continued our study in the book of Hebrews. We finished chapter 1 and looked at why Jesus is superior to the angels. We also looked at what it means to be prepared to help others. We need a relationship with Jesus (time in prayer and in the word) so we can point others to Him in their time of need.

Today we started our study in the book of Hebrews. This is a great book that will give us a deeper look into who Jesus is. In the first three verses we learned that Jesus created everything, and nothing was created without Him. Also we learned that Jesus hold everything together. Amen

Today we continued our study on what it means to be a Christian. As Christians we have a 3-fold enemy. Satan and his demons, the world, and our sinful nature. We learned who the battle is against and how it is fought. Jesus has defeated everyone of our enemies we just need to believe Jesus over the lies from the enemy.

Today we continued our study on what it means to be a Christian. We don’t want to be lukewarm Christians. Jesus has some harsh words for them, and we related that to the American Christian. God is calling us to live a life pressing into Him. A life of Gods word leading our emotions and decisions. A life of fervently looking to God in prayer for guidance on every decision we make.

Today we started a study on what it means to be a Christian. While we can never loose our salvation, God has some very stern words for those Christians who willfully indulge in sin. That as Christians were are representatives of Jesus in our everyday lives. We are called to represent Him in truth and not minimalize or condone  the sin in our lives.

Today we finished Romans Chapter 16, thus completing the entire book of Romans. We learned that we should remain faithful to the work that God has called each of us to do, even the small works are important to God. Paul gave us a final warning to be aware of false teachers, and the best way to identify false teachers is to study Gods word ourselves and see if what is being taught lines up with the bible.

Today we finished our study through Romans Chapter 15. We learned that as a church we should be financially supporting other churches and ministries in need. We also learned about our personal financial giving to God and the promises He gives us.

Today we continued our study through Romans Chapter 15. We learned that we should live our lives as an offering to God. We should live our lives not focused on ourselves but on Jesus.
With the new year upon us I would challenge each of us to spend time reading Gods word everyday this week and spend time in prayer all throughout the week.

A study of Romans chapter 8 verse 18-30 - We learned that God knew before the creation on the earth that he would save us by sacrificing his son for our sins. Paying a debt that we could not pay for our selves to show us His grace. God knew who would choose to receive his son long before the earth was created. He chose us, before the creation of the world, to be like his son once we received him, the process of sanctification (being set apart from sin). Also, that God has called us to a good work that he also planned long ago. And that we are justified by confessing our sin and asking for forgiveness.

A study of Romans chapter 4 -We learned that faith is believing God at His word.  We learned that being righteous with God is being in right standing with God. We learned what it means when Jesus says we can ask for anything in His name, and He will grant it to us. We were also able to see Gods proof that He forgives every sin when we repent, and God REMOVES those sins from our record, forever, because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
