We continue our 'Family Matters' series where this week we talk about the topic of purity. Our God is a holy God and desires for us to be holy and pure, yet we find ourselves contaminating ourselves and areas of our lives with the things of this world. In the month of May, here at The Chapel Sydney, we focus in on family matters, whether it be marriage, parenting, family - all things family and to see what God says about it. This year, we look at some more difficult and uncommon topics around sex and sexuality. Today, we begin by looking at sex and where sex fits within God's kingdom. Sadly, sex is one of the most distorted topics from the bible so we are going to take a bit of time to look at what the bible says about sex. Blushing? It's ok. You'll be fine. God bless.

Our becoming comes out of our belonging. When we understand our identity and who we belong to today, then naturally we will move into becoming. But can we do it alone? No. What's the role of community? Join us as we learn what it means to become together.

To be healthy, we must all make choices that grow towards that health. We must be intentional, giving of time and space and have clear outcomes that we are moving towards. Being a Christian is the same. The goal? To be more like Jesus everyday. How do we become like Jesus? We've got to train. Join us today we look at what it means to train in our spiritual disciplines to continue to grow in becoming like Jesus.

Today, we start a new series, called Becoming. As our church prepares to launch Become groups in May, Steve and I thought it was timely to teach on it, to help you to understand why 'become', and why this is an important practice of our faith. Whether you know it or not, with or without intention, you are becoming something. Depending on the choices we make we will become more like Jesus or more unlike Jesus.
