Christopher Smith was a police officer with some extra time on his hands. He picked up a biography of John Newton, a "wretched" slave trader who became a clergyman and wrote the lyrics to the world's most famous hymn, Amazing Grace. Christopher Smith created the Broadway musical with the same name. Isaiah Bailey, plays Newton's slave Thomas, and joins the conversation.

She was able to use her knowledge of the language and culture to penetrate jihadist groups in Europe and the Arab world.
