Podcaster and writer Jess Rothschild (Hot Takes and Deep Dives) joins host Carolyn Bergier (Dyking Out podcast) to dive into the pilot episode of Prime Video's new series, A League Of Their Own. Jess and Carolyn share a love of Madonna and Rosie O'Donnell, who were their gateway into the 1992 film that the series is based on. They weren't sure how the new series would hold up without their icons, but it's safe to say that Abbi Jacobson and crew have made the case for retelling the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The pilot episode sets up our main characters, rounds out the squad, and has us guessing which love stories will play out over the remaining seven episodes.
