More than any other time in history, Christians are leaving the church without necessarily leaving the faith. The usual models of little-c church and Big-C Church fails to help us properly understand this phenomenon, particularly because Christians have very different understandings of the meaning of Big-C Church. To recover our lost identities, we must approach this growing crisis with a better model - and a better story - to address the past, present, and future of the church.
