In the wake of yet another tragedy, the Outlanders begin to unravel. Basil conducts an interrogation, Vorqorro tries to get the hell out of dodge, Pebble finally finds some booty befitting a pirate, and introducing Kofie Yeboah as Maximus Branch.

After their failure to stop the summoning chant, the Outlanders find themselves at the mercy of their biggest foe yet. Aine gets a taste of the local cuisine, Pebble fights evil with evil, Basil reads an old story, and Vorqorro tries to soothe over a past wrong.

With the Wizard of Wine free of monsters, the Outlanders return to Kresk to find that their relief is all too short lived. Basil investigates a strange reunion, Vorqorro questions a miracle, Cork faces the consequences of his destiny, and Pebble receives an ill omen.
